Course Description:

This class is a two part series on gifted education.  Participants will study the identification process for creative thinking as well as ways to extend their content for creative learners.  Participants will also explore the social emotional challenges of gifted learners as well as ways to support them in the classroom.  Data will also be covered as well as the impact data measurement has on gifted learners and the challenges associated with continuing with growing their knowledge each year.  Teachers will also spend time exploring assessment literacy and improving their classroom assessments to meet the extended learning standards necessary for gifted learners.  Each session will be 6.5 contact hours.
