NEW CHILDRENS LITERATURE 2018

Course Description:

The main objectives of this two-day seminar, "Enhancing Reading Through New Children's Literature (2018) (K-12)", are having an opportunity to view the newest books (2017-2018) as short book reviews are given, view the newest awarding winning children's books and implement relating to standards, enhance the standards through the use of new children's literature and creative techniques to implement the books, expand knowledge of books that address building positive social skills and character development, and share and network with other participants concerning what is new in children's literature.  This seminar will help teachers select new children's literature to incorporate in their standards/curriculum. Different strategies will be shared among participants to make the new literature come alive for teachers and students.

This class will require a separate registration fee of $140.00, payable to Effective Educational Seminars, 1460 Sedward Ave, Napoleon, OH  43545.  This fee is in addition to the $195.00 tuition paid to Ashland University. The total cost of the class is $335.00.

University Protocol:

Following emerging university protocol, a card swipe system has been installed at the Columbus Education Center. The only open door available for PDS students to enter is the front “A” wing entrance (until 6:30 PM.)
