Flexible-Low Residency Format 

The low-residency format means that you mostly work online under the direct support of a faculty mentor. Each summer the students and faculty come together in person on the campus of Ashland University for two weeks of discussions, workshops, readings and inspiration. Throughout all aspects of the Ashland MFA program, students will have the opportunity to: 

  • Connect with and learn from distinguished writers
  • Complete a book-length manuscript 
  • Develop writing relationships to last a lifetime
