At Ashland, you can choose two paths for the online DNP program. We offer a BSN to DNP program – Family Nurse Practitioner program and an MS/MSN to DNP program. Both paths are online, incorporating residency activities throughout the program.
If you currently hold a BSN and an RN licensure, you could be on your way to a Doctorate of Nursing at Ashland University. This program consists of 77 credits and four years of full-time study (3-8 credits per semester) over 12 semesters. Students achieve a Doctorate of Nursing Practice with a Family Nurse Practitioner specialization.
If you hold an MSN and are an Advanced Practice Nurse with an active Certificate of Authority in a practice field, the MS/MSN to DNP might be right for you. This program consists of 32-38 credit hours and two years of full-time study (3-6 credits per semester) over a period of six semesters. Students who complete the requirements for this program achieve a Doctorate of Nursing Practice.
