*Students who score in the “Advanced” range or higher on the OPI should be exempted for 15 hours – 171, 172, 271, 272, 377. A student who also scores “Advanced” or higher on the WPT should be expatiated from an additional course, 310, for a total of 18.

After admission, the Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI) and Writing Proficiency Test (WPT) must be taken and a score of Intermediate-High must be attained within the first semester and prior to applying for any field experience placement. See your advisor for further details.
