Ramesh Ponnuru to Speak on "Beyond Obamanomics" at Ashbrook Lecture

11/4/11 ASHLAND, OH -- Ramesh Ponnuru, senior editor at National Review and columnist with Bloomberg View, will address "Beyond Obamanomics" as part of the Major Issues Lecture Series presented by the Ashbrook Center at Ashland University.

The lecture will be held Wednesday, Nov. 9, at 12 noon in the Myers Convocation Center on the Ashland University campus. Tickets are available for $20 each or $160 for a table of eight. Ramesh Ponnuru grew up in Kansas City and graduated summa cum laude from Princeton's history department. He has published articles in numerous newspapers including the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Wall Street Journal, the Financial Times, Newsday, and the New York Post. He has also written for First Things, Policy Review, The Weekly Standard, The New Republic, Reason, and other publications.

He has appeared on numerous television news programs. He is the author of "The Party of Death: The Democrats, the Media, the Courts, and the Disregard for Human Life." He is also the author of the monograph The Mystery of Japanese Growth (American Enterprise Institute/Centre for Policy Studies). He has been a fellow at the Institute of Economic Affairs in London and a media fellow at Stanford University's Hoover Institution.
