  • Joined Ashland University in 1999
  • Developed Ashland University's actuarial science major
  • Advisor to AU's national William Lowell Putnam Mathematical Competition team
  • Member of the Mathematical Association of America (MAA), the national mathematics honors society Pi Mu Epsilon, the scientific research honorary Sigma Xi, Mortar Board and Phi Beta Kappa
  • Former President of the Ohio Section of the MAA.
  • Recipient of the 2006 national MAA Alder Award for distinguished teaching by a beginning mathematics faculty member
  • Recipient of the 2014 Ohio Section of the MAA Distinguished Teaching Award
  • Recipient of the MAA’s Meritorious Service Award in 2019
