To make it easier for working RNs, all nursing courses for the RN to BSN program are offered in an online format. Full- and part-time study is available. Non-nursing courses are also available online.
This degree also provides the foundation for graduate education in nursing.

More Information about the RN to BSN Program
Admission Requirements
- Complete the RN to BSN application form and submit official transcripts from all institutions of higher education.
- Meet one of the following requirements:
- Hold a current, valid license (not inactive, suspended, revoked or subject to restrictions and for which the individual continues to meet all requirements for issuance) to practice as a registered nurse in one U.S. state or territory.
- Be enrolled in an RN licensure program.
- Be a graduate of an RN program and eligible for the NCLEX-RN.
Transfer Policy
Unlimited credits may transfer to AU.
Residency requirements to complete 120 credit hours for the bachelor’s degree from AU include:
- At least 30 semester hours of credit at AU
- Last 12 semester hours before graduation earned at AU
- Two required AU nursing courses may transfer from a nationally accredited program
