About Religious Life

Hear and respond to the love and truth of Jesus Christ

Jesus’ first words to the disciples in the gospel of John pose the question, “What are you looking for?” He knew that everyone is looking for something. For some, it is love. For others, it is wealth. For others, it might be fame, success or even just a little bit of peace in this crazy world. Jesus knew that He was what they needed, that all can find love, peace, hope, joy, healing and forgiveness in Him.

The Center of Religious Life at Ashland University believes that Jesus Christ is what our campus, community and world needs. His presence, power, love and truth can fulfill the desires of every heart. We exist to encourage and equip individuals to follow Him by creating spaces and places to worship, pray, connect, serve, grow and study the scriptures. We are made up of people from a variety of backgrounds, traditions, denominations and experiences unified by our faith in Christ.

The Center of Religious Life is uniquely positioned on the campus of Ashland University to make an impact in the lives of the faculty, staff and students. Ashland University is a liberal arts college founded on Judeo Christian values yet open to all who seek to get an excellent education. One does not need to be a Christian to attend or work at Ashland University. This provides The Center of Religious Life the opportunity to be a ministry to those who follow Jesus Christ and a mission to those who have yet come to faith. We seek to live the Christian Life in the real world.

The Center of Religious Life seeks to create an environment for the Ashland University community to hear and respond to the love and truth of Jesus Christ.
