
The Ashland University Office of Admissions is reminding all prospective students to “Apply Now” for fall semester of 2013 before it is too late. Comprehensive freshmen and transfer scholarships remain available for qualified students.
For the second straight year the nationally ranked women’s basketball team hosted the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Final Four. And, for the second straight year, the Eagles came away conference champions. The Eagles now host the regional tournament and will face Indianapolis in a first round game on Friday, March 15, at 6 p.m.
The Ashland University women’s basketball team will play the Wayne State Warriors in the championship game of the Midwest Regional Championship Tournament on Monday, March 18, at 7 p.m. in Kates Gymnasium. Call 419.289.5441 for ticket information. The winner will advance to the Elite Eight tournament in San Antonio. Monday’s game will be streamed live.
Professor of Biology Dr. Mason Posner conducts research with biology major Joshua Allman. Research done by Ashland University science professors Dr. Jeffrey Weidenhamer, Dr. Robert Bergosh, Dr. Mason Posner and their students is challenging the prevailing hypothesis for the success of an important wetland invader. The common reed, Phragmites australis, is a serious invasive weed in North American wetlands and one of the most serious invasive plants in the world.
