Student Accounts Overview

The Student Accounts Office prepares student billing statements and accepts payments. Student billing statements are available electronically on Self-Service. If a balance is owed, students will receive a notice to their AU email address monthly advising them to log on to Self-Service for the amount due.

Contact us with billing questions or refund requests that can be made after you attend your first class. We're available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Student Health Insurance

All full-time undergraduate students are required to have health insurance and are automatically enrolled in the major medical portion of Ashland University’s insurance. Students have the option to waive the university’s coverage if they are currently covered by an individual or family coverage plan. Students need to complete the Health Insurance Online Waiver once per academic year. Follow these instructions for filling out the Health Insurance Online Waiver. Deadlines for waiving insurance are September 25, 2023 for fall semester and February 5, 2024 for spring semester.

To better inform your decision, you can review the benefit/coverage details of our Student Health Insurance Plan. You can also take a look at information about our Student Health Center. For questions about the AU Student Health Insurance Plan, please contact Coral Howman, Director of Student Accounts, at chowman1@ashland.edu.
