Ashland University to host 61st annual Mohican District Science Day on March 26

ASHLAND, Ohio – A total of 132 students from 16 area schools are expected to converge on the Ashland University campus Saturday, March 26, for the 61st annual Mohican District Science Day. Local artists win several awards at AU's Juried Student Art + Design Exhibition

ASHLAND, Ohio – The majority of awards from the Juried Student Art + Design Exhibition at Ashland University went to local student artists, it was announced by Cynthia Petry, director of AU’s Coburn Gallery. The exhibition runs through March 23.

More than $1,100 was distributed to the winners across a variety of categories, while the People’s Choice award will be announced on the gallery’s Facebook page on March 23.

With generous donations, Ashland University surpasses fundraising goal

ASHLAND, Ohio – Ashland University’s comprehensive, five-year fundraising initiative, entitled The Campaign for Every Individual, has well surpassed the initial fundraising goal of $50 million, with more than $84 million given so far making it the most successful fundraising effort in the university’s 144-year history. Next Faith and Society lecture to feature Christian Miller on March 25

ASHLAND, Ohio – Christian Miller, the A. C. Reid Professor of Philosophy at Wake Forest University, will be the guest at the next edition of Ashland University’s Faith and Society lecture series. Ashland M.Ed. alumna receives highest U.S. recognition for science and mathematics educators

ASHLAND, Ohio – Stephanie Nowak, who completed a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Ashland University in 1997, is a recent recipient of the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST), the highest recognition that a kindergarten through 12th grade science teacher may receive for outstanding teaching from the U.S. government. Nowak was one of 102 teachers who were recognized this year.

Juried student art exhibition opening reception at AU is March 3

ASHLAND, Ohio – Ashland University’s annual Juried Student Art + Design Exhibition opens on Thursday, March 3, with a reception from 4:30-6:30 p.m., at the Coburn Gallery, located in the Center for the Arts.
