Drop-In Hours Policy
You do not need to make an appointment to use drop-in hours. These hours operate on a first come, first serve basis. If there is high demand during drop-in hours, the WAs may be required to shorten appointments. We will do our best to try and work with everyone who comes to drop-in hours. On rare occasions when there is a really high volume, we cannot guarantee that you will be able to work with a WA. To ensure that you are seen, we encourage you to come at the beginning of drop-in hours.
Appointments must be canceled 24 hours in advance. If you do have to cancel an appointment at the last minute, please try to contact your WA (you should be able to find their emails in the AU directory) to let them know that you won’t be able to make the appointment. Please note that you have to cancel an appointment within 24 hours of the scheduled time, the appointment may be marked as a no-show.
If you have five or more no-show appointments within one semester, your WCOnline account will be disabled for the remainder of that semester. If you still want to use the UWC services while your account is disabled, you can use the UWC drop-in hours. If you would like to have your account reactivated at the end of the semester in which it was disabled, you need to contact the UWC at email@example.com.
