2020-21 FAFSA – Complete at fafsa.gov beginning October 1, 2019, using IRS data retrieval to transfer 2018 tax year information.
March 15, 2020 is the priority date for FAFSA completion |

Scholarships –Visit ashland.edu/outside-scholarships for several links to potential sources of free money.
Employment – Search for a full-time summer job. Savings from summer employment can be used towards tuition, reducing your need for additional loans. Also, if your award includes Federal Work-Study and a job on-campus is needed to pay for educational expenses, talk to potential employers in the spring to line up a job for the Fall 2020 semester. You may need to apply for several jobs to obtain the hours desired. Hint – Dining Services, Information Technology, and the Recreation Center hire the most student employees on campus. |
April – May 2020 |
Submit any additional paperwork or tax forms requested to the Financial Aid Office.
AU Email – Watch for a message to your AU email address advising that your 2020-21 Financial Aid Award is available online.

June 2020 |
Loans - Go to the financial aid website at ashland.edu/student-loans to review and complete additional steps needed to process loans, if you wish to borrow.
CashNet Payment Plan - If needed, apply at webadvisor.ashland.edu. |
July 2020 |
Fall Semester Bill - Watch for a billing statement in early July. Student and parent review bill to determine if student/parent loans and/or monthly payment plan are needed. |
August 2020

Moving Into Residence Hall – Students who have completed all financial aid processes and have their bill settled by the end of the first week of August will not have to wait in line in the Business Office on Move-In Day!! |
