Congratulations from the President

Dear Graduates:

I wish to personally congratulate each one of you and to extend congratulations from the faculty, administration and staff of Ashland University to those of you who will receive either undergraduate or graduate degrees this winter. This is what you have worked hard to achieve and have looked forward to since enrolling at Ashland. You and your family have a right to be proud. We all look forward to recognizing your achievement at the Commencement ceremony on May 9 at 10 a.m.

The Spring 2020 Commencement ceremony will be held at the Dwight Schar Athletic Complex’s Miller Stadium off Broad Street on the Ashland campus. The ceremony will be for both undergraduate and graduate students and will begin at 10 a.m. No tickets are required for this ceremony. The ceremony also will be streamed live in the Student Center Eagles' Nest and the Student Center Auditorium and will be broadcast on the website.

In the event of rain, the ceremony will be held in Kates Gymnasium inside the Physical Education Center and each undergraduate and graduate student will receive tickets to allow friends and family to attend an indoor ceremony. For those not able to get inside Kates Gymnasium, the ceremony will be streamed live in the Student Center Eagles’ Nest and the Student Center Auditorium (see enclosed map for locations). The event also will be broadcast on the website.

A Commencement day lunch will be held to honor all of Ashland's graduates. On behalf of the University, I am pleased to invite you (the graduate) and two members of your family to be our guests for the luncheon, which will be served immediately following the ceremony in Myers Convocation Center. Additional guests above the complimentary ticket number may purchase luncheon tickets. Reservations are required and can be made by April 24, 2020, by visiting the Ashland University Bookstore website to order tickets online.

You are now entering a new stage in your life and becoming a member of the Ashland University Alumni Association. Alumni continue to make a difference in so many ways through their support of the Alumni Fund and equally important through the assistance of telling others about Ashland. Alumni rank as one of the strongest influencers as far as recruiting new students. Again, congratulations on your achievements and we look forward to sharing this special day with you.
