Biography

  • Joined Ashland University faculty in 1994 and serves as Associate Professor in the Department of Communication Studies and Director of the Online Communication Studies Program
  • Teaches a wide range of communication courses, including Interpersonal Communication, Intercultural Communication, Family Communication, and Health Communication
  • Research interests include health narratives, gender and women’s studies
  • Engages in community service by chairing the Ashland Chautauqua Planning Committee, which brings history alive through performance
  • Winner of the 2012 Ohio Communication Association’s Innovative Teacher Award
