Ashland University's Honors Program is hosting "What It Means to Be an Educated Person," on Wednesday, Sept. 17, at 7 p.m., in the Alumni Room on the upper level of the John C. Myers Convocation Center.
The event will feature AU President Jon Parrish Peede, D.A., and Provost Greg McBrayer, Ph.D., providing their thoughts on hot topics such as artificial intelligence, smartphones, today's political discourse and more.
All of AU's first-year honors students have read "Educated," a 2018 memoir by author Tara Westover that details her survivalist upbringing in Idaho to her pursuit of education at Cambridge University. "Educated" serves as the inspiration for the Honors Program's three-part lecture series this year.
