Biography
  • Studies the relationship between media consumption, public opinion of crime, and criminal behavior.
  • Publications and research projects examining the influence of media on such views as public opinion of the police, fear of crime, attitudes toward immigration and opinion of criminal sentencing
  • Teaches courses in Introduction to Sociology, Social Theory, Criminology, Juvenile Delinquency, Research Methods and Social Problems
  • Favorite thing about Ashland University: the student-centered approach, wonderful faculty and beautiful campus
  • Little-known fact: I am a massive Cleveland sports fan; the ability to hear Tom Hamilton call the Guardians and Jim Donavon call the Browns games factored into the decision to move back to Ohio.
