- Joined Ashland University faculty in 2009 as a professor instructor in business management
- Taught undergraduate and MBA Human Resource Management courses for 10 years as an adjunct instructor
- Has more than 25 years experience serving as a senior human resources professional
- Served as the Vice President of Human Resources in two organizations in the childcare, telecommunications, long-term care, educational and nonprofit arenas
- Earned two national certifications for Senior Professional in Human Resources from the Human Resources Certification Institute and SHRM Senior Certified Professional from the Society of Human Resource Management
- Founded and operates an HR consulting company and a nursing home administrator continuing education provider company called Strategic Solutions
- Received the prestigious Ashland University Edward and Louaine Taylor Teaching Excellence Award for 2018
- Serves as the College Relations Director for the Ohio Society for Human Resource Management State Council and previously served as State Council Director
