Marc Pasteris was appointed vice president and chief financial officer of Ashland University on February 1, 2018. He provides executive leadership and strategic direction for the university’s financial functions, including accounting, financial reporting, audit, treasury, budget, tax, financing and debt management, student financial services, procurement and payroll services.

Prior to joining Ashland University, Pasteris spent fifteen years as controller and vice president for finance and facilities and assistant treasurer of Eureka College, a small liberal arts college in Illinois. His career also includes experience in the agriculture and trucking industries plus attestation, consulting and tax experience with two regional and one international certified public accounting and consulting firms.

He holds a Master of Business Administration from Washington University in St. Louis, Olin Business School and a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Illinois State University. Pasteris is a certified public accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the National Association of College and University Business Officers.

Pasteris is also a peer reviewer for the Higher Learning Commission and serves on the board of Appleseed Community Mental Health Center and is a member of the Othot Strategic Advisory Board.
