AU offers its first Institute for International Insight

05/27/2021 ASHLAND, Ohio  -- This summer, Ashland University is offering its first Institute for International Insight.

Attendees will experience languages, customs, courtesies, and perspectives from other cultures, while cultivating people skills across international boundaries and discovering the motivations behind multiple points of view.

Sponsored by the Ashland University ACCESS Program, sessions will be held July 12-16 from 6:30-9:30 p.m. Each session will be offered in room 115 of the Dauch College of Business & Economics on College Avenue. The cost for the entire institute is $150, and registration can be completed at ashland.edu/insight.

Yang Ruo Lin will discuss the culture of China, while Dr. Carla Abreu-Ellis will offer thoughts on Brazil.  Mohsine Bensaid will reflect on Morocco; Dr. Nikita Lopatin will offer insights on Russia; and Dr. Sivakumar Venkataramany will talk about India. Finally, Dr. Rene Paddags will offer insights on international relations, and the Rev. Ben Roby will look at worldviews.
