02/04/2021 ASHLAND, Ohio – Students from the Ashland University Sport Management program are in Tampa Bay, Florida volunteering at the Super Bowl Experience this week.

AU faculty member Dr. Lance Kaltenbaugh is joining students Kimmy Gayhardt, Kevin Huber, Allison Jacobs, Brian Lippiatt, Jessie Mayne, Drew Mills, Justin Moore, Kristen Ogle, Mia Rader, Nick Sparr and Amanda Stewart..

In addition to volunteering at the Super Bowl Experience at Julian B. Lane Park, the group is taking advantage of the opportunity to visit sport facilities in Tampa Bay. Plans are in order for the group to visit Raymond B. James Stadium, Tropicana Field, Amalie Arena, and George Steinbrenner Stadium. In addition, one of the unique aspects of this trip is the opportunity to connect with AU alumni who work in the Tampa Bay area. The group also will have the chance to visit multiple hospitality and tourism sites not only in Tampa, but also in Orlando.

The Sport Management program at Ashland University prides itself in providing real-world, experiential learning opportunities for its students. So, when the opportunity to volunteer at the Super Bowl arose, Kaltenbaugh knew it was a chance that he and the Sport Management program could not pass up.
