09/10/20 ASHLAND, Ohio – Students from Ashland University’s Dauch College of Business & Economics didn’t let the logistical challenges of a pandemic keep them from getting some valuable face time Tuesday with representatives of a dozen different companies from around the region.

The annual COBE Career Day saw 300 AU students take part in both large and small sessions to hear from representatives of Northwestern Mutual, Parker Hannifin -- Downtown YMCA, Cedar Point,
the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Lippert Enterprises Inc., Fastenal, Westfield Companies, R.S. Hanline,
365 Holdings, Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems, Pentair, The J.M Smucker Co., M2Bio Sciences and Internet Bull Report.

“We utilized Zoom for the event where employers joined a large session of students to discuss their company on a panel,” said Elizabeth Shannon, life calling coordinator from the AU Career Center for Life Calling. “Following this panel discussion, students were provided individual breakout session links where they could join the employers in a smaller group to ask questions and learn more about the company.”

Of the day’s success, COBE Dean Dr. Elad Granot said, "As we strive to provide world-class outcomes for our students, I am extremely proud of our Life Calling and Career Services team for the smooth and efficient transition to a virtual format for our COBE Career Day."
