Homeschooling conference to feature nationally-recognized speaker Heidi St. John on Nov. 1
ASHLAND, Ohio – Ashland University’s Homeschool and Classical Learning Center is hosting its annual conference this fall, “Firmly Planted,” featuring prominent author and podcaster Heidi St. John, on Saturday, Nov. 1, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Tickets are on sale now for the event, which will be held at John C. Myers Convocation Center.
This marks the third conference hosted by AU’s Homeschool and Classical Learning Center, as it continues to bring families from the homeschooling community together to connect, share ideas and take back practical advice for their personal homeschooling journey.
St. John is the author of 10 books, including “Becoming a MomStrong: How to Fight with All That’s in You for Your Family and Your Faith” and its corresponding Bible study. Her best-selling book, “Bible Promises for Moms,” has 200,000 copies in print, and her popular podcast, “The Heidi St. John Podcast,” has been downloaded over 25 million times.
A sought-after-speaker, St. John travels across the nation from her home in Washington state to share her insights on family, faith and culture. She and her husband, Jay, oversee their non-profit organization, Firmly Planted Family, and the Homeschool Resource Center. They have seven children, all of whom were homeschooled, and an ever-growing number of grandchildren.
Theresa Watson, coordinator of AU’s Homeschool and Classical Learning Center, encourages all homeschool families in the region as well as those who are considering homeschooling to take advantage of this unique opportunity.
“Heidi St. John’s message will challenge and equip you to grow in faith as you lead your family with confidence and purpose,” said Watson. “Join us for an inspiring day of encouragement, connection and practical wisdom, which will leave you refreshed and refocused on your homeschooling journey.”
In addition to a keynote speech by St. John, the conference will consist of two breakout sessions, a vendor hall with homeschooling resources and lunch. Tickets are $25 per person and can be purchased here through Oct. 26. For more information, contact Theresa Watson at twatso15@ashland.edu or 419-207-6290.
