ASHLAND, Ohio – Three jazz ensembles, headlined by the Ashland University Jazz Orchestra (AUJO), will be performing on Thursday, Dec. 8, inside Hugo Young Theatre. The event, which is free and open to the public, starts at 7 p.m.

First, Krawlspace Combo will take the stage and play some original arrangements of jazz standards, including “Well, You Needn’t” and “All of Me.”

Next, a group of AUJO alumni will perform. Scott Garlock, professor of music at AU, always looks forward to this reunion, featuring a wide range of alumni. “This is always a blast to watch. Their energy is just plain pure fun,” he said.

The award-winning AUJO will complete the show with a series of selections, headlined by new arrangements of holiday favorites, as well as some jazz standards like Stan Kenton’s “My Old Flame.”
