Academic Advocacy
The transition from military service into a classroom setting can be difficult for many students, but we are dedicated to your success. To help you stay on track academically, we provide academic and tutoring services tailored to your unique learning needs and style. We provide assistance with scheduling, transportation, internship placement and a wide range of other factors relating to your academic success.
Our faculty are directly involved with your academic advocacy, as well. On our campus we have Certified Veteran Advocate faculty members, professors who go through certification because they want to connect and support military-connected students.

Achieving your goals begins with a clear plan. It also involves a thorough understanding of who you are—your strengths, challenges and the valuable skills you've developed in the military. Military Community
At many schools, it can be easy to get left behind. At Ashland University, that won’t happen. We are also deeply involved with national organizations like Student Veterans of America and National Veteran Leadership Foundation, which provides you with opportunities to network with other military-connected students, find a community that stretches far beyond the borders of campus, and provides you with the kind of leadership opportunities that allow you to make a difference in the world and gain experience employers covet.
In acknowledgement of our ongoing support for military-connected students on campus, Ashland University is a recipient of the Collegiate Purple Star, an award that honors schools that show a significant commitment to military students and their families.
