Program Overview

In partnership with Ashland University’s Office of Workforce Development, the Fiber Broadband Association (FBA) OpTIC Path™ program offers a comprehensive and relevant curriculum, and it is the only program developed by fiber broadband industry companies and professionals specifically for FTTX construction, operations, troubleshooting, and emergency restoration.

The OpTIC Path™ program covers the latest industry standards, best practices, trends, and technologies. Additionally, it provides more hands-on training, and NTIA has recognized the FBA OpTIC Path™ training program as an industry best practice, making it an eligible expense for the NTIA BEAD funding program along with many other state and federal funding resources for businesses, schools and individuals looking to be a Certified OpTIC Fiber Splicer.

Fiber Broadband Association OpTIC Path Other Training Programs Scope Covers a wider range of topics, including fiber optic splicing, testing, and maintenance, along with fundamentals, knowledge, values, and success in the field. Focuses only on the fundamentals of fiber optic installation
