Payment Information
Payment Deadlines
Payment is due in full on the following dates:
Fall Semester - July 1st
Spring Semester - November 1st
Summer Semester - April 1st
For registrations received after these dates, payment is due within 72 hours of registration. Students may not begin classes until their balance is paid in full. Students may not register for subsequent semesters until balances from prior terms is paid in full. Interest will accrue on all past-due balances at a monthly rate of 1.5%.
Methods of Payment
Ashland University accepts cash; personal or bank checks; money orders; electronic checking drafts; and Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express credit and debit cards. Please note that electronic checking drafts are charged a $2.95 flat-rate service fee; credit and debit card transactions regardless of how they are made are subject to a 2.7% service fee (minimum $3.95).
Student Loans
Ashland University participates in the federal Stafford Loan, Graduate PLUS Loan, and the Parent PLUS Loan (for dependent students) programs. Additionally, a variety of private educational loan opportunities are available. Federal loan programs are open to all eligible graduate students enrolled in a degree program at least half-time (3 semester credit hours) per semester. Private loans may be available to non-degree seeking students and those enrolled less than half-time in a semester. Visit the Ashland University Financial Aid office website for more information.
Students planning to pay for their studies via student loans should begin the application process as outlined at the Ashland University Financial Aid office website well in advance of the start of the semester in which they plan to enroll. Your loan application must be filed and approved prior to attending classes.
Payment Plans
Ashland University graduate students may set up a payment plan through CashNet to spread their payments out interest-free over a period of several months. Payment plans can be set up in WebAdvisor.

Make checks or money orders payable to Ashland University. Please write your AU student ID number on your check.
In-Person
Payments may be made in person at the Student Accounts office, located in 202 Founders Hall on the main campus. Student Accounts is open from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, during the fall and spring semesters; 7:30 am through 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, during the summer semester.
Pay by Phone
To make credit card, debit card, or electronic checking draft payments by phone, call the Student Accounts office at (419) 289-5022 during the hours listed above.
Pay Online
You may check your balance, print invoices, and make payments online at WebAdvisor. Your AU username and password are required.
