Program Overview

Our Master of Education in Curriculum & Instruction: Educational Technology program prepares educators and instructional leaders to effectively integrate technology into diverse learning environments. Participants will learn to:

  • Develop and implement technology-integrated instructional strategies that support student learning and engagement.
  • Conduct research and data analysis to evaluate and improve technology-enhanced learning environments.
  • Lead professional development initiatives to support educators in adopting emerging technologies and best practices. 

Emphasizing innovation, collaboration and reflective practice, the program cultivates the skills needed to transform education through the strategic use of technology.

This degree program prepares educators to pass the Ohio Assessment for Educators subtests for this competency, enabling them to obtain a Computer/Technology state of Ohio endorsement on your current teaching license, as well as a Master of Education degree.

The program's content and objectives are aligned with the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) standards for educators.

Field Placement Requirements:

Students enrolled in the M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction - Educational Technology are required to perform one or more K-12 school-based field placements that may involve the collaboration or supervision of a classroom teacher currently serving a specific population of students. These field placements are embedded thematically into the Education Technology Professional courses.

Licensure Disclosure: This program is for students who intend to seek employment in Ohio and only prepares students for licensure in the state of Ohio.
