Program Overview
Does the development of media pique your interest? Ashland University’s Digital Media Production Program will turn your intrigue into expertise. Study the lifecycle of multimedia production from concept to completion. Connect with audiences through television, radio, social media and podcasts to determine which formats resonate with different viewers. When you conclude your studies, your foundation of knowledge will help you stand out among the digital media gurus who influence our culture's rapidly-changing delivery of images and information daily.

Learning Experiences
As you study Digital Media Production, you will gain a deeper understanding of the power and influence of media and the social, legal and ethical responsibilities that come with it. You’ll learn a variety of digital videography, production and editing skills to engage with audiences. Outside the classroom, you will hone your skills in unique laboratory settings such as:
- High definition video and television production facility
- Campus multimedia laboratory
- State-of-the-art podcasting studio
- 88.9 FM WRDL – Ashland, AU’s award-winning, student-run radio station
- AUTV 20 - Ashland’s only television station.

Every year we select one student to receive a special internship with NewsChannel 5 in Cleveland. This intern receives a stipend and is able to work behind the scenes at a major-market news station and sports operation.
Also available to students are publication and production opportunities at The Collegian, Ashland University’s student-run print and digital newspaper.
