The Gifted Certificate prepares teachers, coordinators and administrators to teach gifted and talented students, supervise and improve programs for gifted and talented students and provide leadership in the field of gifted education (K-12) in Ohio.
The gifted certificate prepares preservice or in-service teachers to provide services to gifted students. It is not a Gifted Intervention Specialist endorsement. The certificate does not require access to gifted students, nor does it require passing the OAE exam.
