Program Overview
Explore your faith and your calling! If you’re interested in seminary training or exploring your calling to Christian ministry and service, we invite you to join the Pre-Seminary Program.
You will join a variety of students with majors and minors in Religion and Christian Ministry. Every member is paired with a religion professor who will serve as a pre-seminary mentor.

Learning Experiences
In the Pre-Seminary Program you will benefit from the close relationship among Ashland University’s Religion Department, the Office of Christian Ministry and the Theological Seminary.
We encourage everyone in the pre-seminary group to be active in campus ministries through the Office of Christian Ministry or your home congregation. Internships are also available for course credit.
Curriculum
Take advantage of the Pre-Seminary Program beginning in your junior year. You can apply to take seminary classes to fulfill many of the general elective requirements of your Bachelor of Arts degree. Students often choose to study Biblical Greek or Hebrew to prepare for seminary training.
