The Ashland University Recreation Center is a stand-alone facility designed exclusively for students—separate from varsity athletics, except for the shared natatorium. Nearly all full-time undergraduate students visit throughout the year, making it one of the most popular spots on campus.
Inside, students can enjoy basketball and volleyball courts, a climbing wall, a full fitness center with cardio and weight rooms, an indoor track, the Messerly Natatorium and Tuffy’s Smoothie Bar for a post-workout refresh. Just outside, the intramural fields provide plenty of space for friendly competition and recreation in the fresh air. The facility also includes an activities game room for students looking to relax and connect with friends.
Students enjoy group exercise classes and intramural sports at no additional cost. Plus, equipment such as towels, locks, basketballs, yoga mats, pickleball gear, outdoor bikes and lawn games can all be checked out free of charge—making it easy to stay active and connected all year long.
