Curatorial statement - “One hundred years ago, August 18, 2020, the 19th amendment was ratified, securing for women in the United States the right to vote.  Just one hundred years ago!  Celebrations commemorating this event have been taking place all over the country.  Interested in doing our part, Patricia, Judy and I, worked to bring together selected women artists to respond to the idea of women and resilience.

Twenty-two women join us in this exhibition sharing previous works that fit the theme or newly conceived works that built upon threads that were already present in their artwork.  We are pleased to share their works with you.

In this election season, this anniversary reminds us all of the right, the privilege and the responsibility to vote.  We hope you all do your part.”
