Course Description:

Course participants will discuss the importance of choice reading to motivate lifelong reading habits that increase fluency and comprehension skills. Participants will also become familiar with professional development tools available through INFOhio to encourage their own continued processional exploration after this course is over.  Teacher will develop instructional strategies for managing and assessing independent reading in the classroom.  Course participants will read a variety of contemporary young adult literature and learn about resources that will help them connect their students with "just the right" books for every learner.
